You will need:

For cotton yarn -

Cotton yarn beige color

Cotton yarn white color

Cotton yarn red color

Cotton yarn black color

Crochet hook 3.5mm

For chenille yarn - same colors as in the cotton yarn

Crochet hook 4mm

Needle for sewing

Fiberfill

Safety eyes

Stitch guide:

chain (ch): Yarn over and pull through loop.

Single crochet (sc): Insert hook in stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops.

Slip stitch (slst): Insert hook in stitch yarn over and pull through 2 loops.

Single crochet increase (inc): 2 single crochet in the same stitch follow the instructions.

Single crochet decrease (dec): insert hook in front loop of the next 2 stitches. Yarn over draw through 2 loops.

Back loop only (blo): crocheting in the back loop only

front loop only (flo): crocheting in the front loop only

Elephant size: cotton - 5.4 inch (14 cm~)

Notes:

This pattern is worked in a continuous spiral without closing off each round. Please mark the first stitch of each round and move the marker up as you work.

The pattern:

Legs (make 2):

With beige color

Rnd 1: 5 sc in magic ring (MR)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc across (10)

Rnd 3-4: 10 sc, 2 rounds

Don't fasten off and cut the yarn after finishing the second leg, continue with the grey color, stuff the legs with fiberfill and continue crocheting the body

Body:

Continue with the second leg, we'll work in the back loops only for most of the body, leaving the front loop for crocheting the hair.

Rnd 1: sc to the other leg right next to the stitch where we finished the leg, sc in the next 9 stitches (around the leg), sc in the next 10 stitches (in the first leg) (20)

Rnd 2: 20 sc blo (20)

Rnd 3: (sc in next 4 stitches blo, inc blo) repeat 4 times (24)

Rnd 4-6: 24 sc blo, 3 rounds (24)

Rnd 7: (sc in next 4 stitches blo, dec blo) repeat 4 times (20)

Rnd 8: (sc in next 3 stitches blo, dec blo) repeat 4 times (16)

Rnd 9: (sc in next 2 stitches blo, dec blo) repeat 4 times (12)

Rnd 10: (sc in next 1 stitch blo, dec blo) repeat 4 times (8)

Stuff the body with fiberfill while crocheting

Body wool hair:

With white color

Start from the neck, work on the front loops (flo), crochet in a spiral around the body in the same pattern

- (ch 3, slst in the same stitch, slst to the next stitch), repeat till the last available front loop

Head:

With beige color

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (MR)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc across (12)

Rnd 3: (sc in next 1 stitches, inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 stitches, inc) repeat 6 times (24)

Rnd 5-7: 24 sc, 3 rounds (24)

Rnd 8: (sc in next 2 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 9: 18 sc (18)

Rnd 10: (sc in next 2 stitches, inc) repeat 6 times (24)

Rnd 11: (sc in next 3 stitches, inc) repeat 6 times (30)

Assemble the eyes between rows 9-10, with 5 stitches between the eyes

Rnd 12-14: 30 sc, 3 rounds (30)

Rnd 15: (sc in next 3 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times (24)

Rnd 16: (sc in next 2 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 17: (sc in next 1 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times (12)

Fasten off, close the head with sewing

head cap:

From the second round work on the blo

Cap wool hair:

With white color

Starting from the last front loop in the head cap

Start from the top of the cap, work on the front loops (flo), crochet in a spiral around the body in the same pattern

- (ch 3, slst in the same stitch, slst to the next stitch), repeat till the last available front loop.

Assemble the cap to the head:

Assemble the head to the body, in an angle:

Ears (make 2):

With beige color

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (MR)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc across (12)

Rnd 3-5: 12 sc, repeat for 3 rounds (12)

Fasten off leaving yarn for sewing.

Assemble the ears to the head:

First fold the base of the ear like the following picture -

Arms (make 2):

With beige color

Rnd 1: 5 sc in magic ring (MR)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc across (10)

Rnd 3-4: 10 sc, 2 rounds (10)

Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 stitches, dec) repeat 2 times (8)

Rnd 6: 8 sc (8)

Fasten off leaving yarn for sewing, do not fiberfill the arms.

Assemble the arms to the body:

Bow:

With red color

Row 1: ch 8

Row 2-5: from the second stitch from the hook, sc from the next 7 stitches, ch1, turn, repeat the same pattern for 4 rows creating a rectangle (7)
