The pattern:

The Daisy Square (make 13)

With first color Start with a Magic Ring or with a chain, ch 5, and join with a slip stitch creating round

Round 1: ch3 (count as the first dc), continue with 15 dc into the ring, Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning ch-3. Cut the yarn, fasten off. (16)

Round 2: with second color, Join new yarn with a slip stitch to any dc. Ch 1, puff stitch in the same stitch and in each dc around creating 16 puff stitches. Join with a slip stitch to the first puff stitch. Cut the yarn, fasten off. (16)

Puff Stitch -

Yarn over, insert hook into the stitch, and pull up a loop. (3 loops on hook)

Yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, and pull up a loop. (5 loops on hook)

Yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, and pull up loop. (7 loops on hook).

Yarn over, and pull yarn through all loops on the hook. Chain 1 to secure the stitch.

Round 3: with third color, join new yarn with a slip stitch in any chain-1 space. Ch 2. 3dc cluster in each chain-1 space from the previous round creating 16 3dc clusters.

Making a cluster stitch is like making a series of incomplete double crochet stitches.

first cluster stitch is different from the other clusters because we are starting with half dc (the ch2): *Yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.* Repeat 1 more times. There will be 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops to complete the stitch. Ch 2.

Continue with 15 clusters

3dc Cluster -

Yarn over, insert hook into the indicated space, and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops (2 loops on hook)

Yarn over, insert hook into the same space, and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook)

Yarn over, insert hook into the same space, and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops (4 loops on hook)

Yarn over, and pull yarn through all loops on the hook. ch 2.

Join with a slip stitch to the beginning cluster stitch. Cut yarn, fasten off (16)

Round 4: Join new yarn with a slip stitch in any chain-2 space. Chain 3 (counts as the first dc) and then crochet 2 dc in the same space.

Next, make the first corner: 3 tr in the next ch-2 space, ch 3, 3 tr in the same ch-2 space. This forms the first corner.

Then, crochet the first full side: 3 dc in the next ch-2 space, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 space, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space. This forms the first side of the square.

Then, make the second corner: 3 tr in the next ch-2 space, ch 3, 3 tr in the same ch-2 space.

Then, crochet the second full side: 3 dc in the next ch-2 space, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 space, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space.

Then, make the third corner: 3 tr in the next ch-2 space, ch 3, 3 tr in the same ch-2 space.

Then, crochet the third full side: 3 dc in the next ch-2 space, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 space, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space.

Then, make the last corner: 3 tr in the next ch-2 space, ch 3, 3 tr in the same ch-2 space. This forms the last corner.

Then, crochet the last remaining side: 3 dc in the next ch-2 space, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 space. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning ch-3

Sew Daisy Squares Together:

Lay squares out in rows according to the diagram below. Whip stitch squares together.

Flip the squares facing the front side together and crochet sc in each stitch to join them. The combining stitches should be in the back of the squares. Continue joining the squares till you creating the above diagram.

Then fold the bag (keeping the beck side out)

continue gathering and crocheting the edges using sc.

Then turn the bag, front side out -

Sew the handles to the bag (I bought my in Amazon 16.5inch long)
