Crochet Unicorn Coaster

I love these coasters, they add so much color to the coffee table!

You will need:

Cotton yarn in white color

Cotton yarn in pink color

Cotton yarn in yellow color

Cotton yarn in blue color

Cotton yarn in black color (for the eyes)

Hook 4.5 mm

Stitch guide:

Chain (ch): Yarn over and pull through loop.

Single crochet (sc): Insert hook in stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and draw through ll loops.

Half double crochet (hdc):Yarn over, insert hook in stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and draw through all loops.

Slip stitch (slst): Insert hook in stitch yarn over and pull through all loops.

Notes:

This pattern is worked in a continuous spiral without closing off each round. Please mark the first stitch of each round and move the marker up as you work.

The pattern:

With white color

Rnd 1: create magic ring, ch 2, 8 hdc in the magic ring

Rnd 2: 2 hdc in each sc across (16)

Rnd 3: (hdc in next 1 stitches, inc) repeat 8 times (24)

Rnd 4: (hdc in next 2 stitches, inc) repeat 8 times (32)

Rnd 5: (hdc in next 3 stitches, inc) repeat 8 times (40)

Rnd 6: (hdc in next 4 stitches, inc) repeat 8 times (48)

Rnd 7: hdc in the next 8 stitches, ch 1, turn

Continue in rows for crocheting the ear

Row 2: dec sc, sc in the next 4 stitches, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 3: dec sc, sc in the next 2 stitches, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 4: dec sc two times, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 5: dec sc, ch 1, turn

Continue in rows for crocheting the horn

*Rnd 7: 6 slst down the ear, back to round 7, change to pink color in the last slst, hdc in the same stitch, hdc in the next 5 stitches (do not cut the white yarn, yarn over the white yarn with the pink yarn), ch 1, turn

Row 2: dec sc, sc in the next 4 stitches, ch 1, turn

Row 3: dec sc, sc in the next 3 stitches, ch 1, turn

Row 4: dec sc, sc in the next 2 stitches, ch 1, turn

Row 5: dec sc, sc in the next stitch, ch 1, turn

Row 6: dec, ch 1, turn

Continue in rows for crocheting the second ear

*Rnd 7: 7 slst down the horn, back to round 7, change to white color in the last slst, continue to the second ear, hdc in the next 8 stitches, ch 1, turn

Row 2: dec sc, sc in the next 4 stitches, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 3: dec sc, sc in the next 2 stitches, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 4: dec sc two times, dec, ch 1, turn

Row 5: dec sc, ch 1, turn

*Rnd 7: 6 slst down the ear, back to round 7, 27 slst to the end of round 7.
